Uses of Dai Ko Myo in Reiki Healing

Dai Ko Myo is the fourth Reiki symbol to which you are attuned during the 3rd Degree of Reiki also known as Reiki Level 3A. It is also known as the "Master" symbol. Lets look at the uses of Dai Ko Myo in Reiki Healing.

Dai Ko Myo is a powerful symbol. It is said that Dai Ko Myo has the power of all the symbols of Reiki level 2, Cho Ku Rei, Sei Hei Ki and Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen.

Why Dai Ko Myo is so powerful?

Because Dai Ko Myo heals you at the Spiritual level. Spiritual level is the highest level. We are spiritual beings, isn't it? So with its immense vibrational frequency, Dai Ko Myo enhances the healing of the soul.

When you are healed at the soul or spiritual level, there are positive effects at the mental and physical levels as well. So when you do spiritual level healing many other problems get solved.

Let me share with you one case study...

Some months back Sharvari approached me for Reiki distance healing for getting a job. After talking to her over the phone, I had understood that she needs healing at spiritual level.

The Meaning of Dai Ko Myo

Dai means great, Ko means glossy and Myo means bright light. Thus, Dai Ko Myo means 'Great Shining Light' or 'Great Enlightenment.'

Whatever we have gone through in the past or whatever we are going through in present, is the result of our karma. Since the effects of karma comes at various stages of life.

• Some results come when you are young
• Some results come after you get married 
• Some results come after you have children. 

 So it is better if a person is attuned to Reiki level 3 as early in life as possible.
Using Dai Ko Myo along with Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen you can help heal the karma at the soul level. This brings many positive change in the life of the 3rd degree practitioner of Reiki.

Pray in mind 'all the negativity form this crystal has been removed and now I charge it for ______ (anything you are charging it for health, wealth happiness etc.)'.

Use it on the medications to reduce or nullify their side effects.

How to use Dai Ko Myo in emergency

Some situations require instant energy. For Eg.if you see an animal injured on the road while you are traveling, just imagine or say or draw  Dai Ko Myo and simply say 'Let it be healed and be pain-free.' It is not compulsory to elaborate as Reiki works for the highest good.

When you read about any calamity in the newspaper, just close your eyes, wave the magic wand (your hand) and say the incantation 'Dai Ko Myo' and make a wish. Reiki will understand your intention and then you just allow the Reiki magic to happen.

It may occur in infinite ways... maybe those struck by the disaster will get help in some unknown ways, maybe their pain reduces or something which we cannot even imagine, because the universe has boundless energies to offer!

Dai Ko Myo is used by Reiki Masters to attune symbols in their students. It enters through the crown chakra during the Reiki attunement. It reconnects us to the divinity which is undoubtedly present in all of us, which connects us to God.

Various Uses of Sei Hei Ki Symbol

• Sei Hei Ki symbol is also known as the symbol of balance and harmony. The Sei Hei Ki symbol helps in balancing the two hemispheres of the brain. The left brain, which works on reasoning, rational and logical ideas and the right brain, which works on imagination, intuition and feelings.
• Many doctors now believe that physical illness to great extent might be depended on mental and emotional disturbances in a patient. Sei Hei Ki focuses on mental and emotional chakras of the body and hence helps in eliminating the physical illness as well.

• Use Sei Hei Ki to get rid of addiction of alcohol, smoking, drugs or any other vices. Draw the symbol on the root chakra and sacral chakra of the person and do the healing.

Is Reiki Compatible with Christianity?

Reiki is an abundantly practiced healing method. It is believed that, it was discovered and developed by Sensai Mikao Usui. The founder of Reiki happened to be a Buddhist Monk. Just as Einstein's theory of relativity has nothing to do with his religion, Reiki is practiced by people of all religions.

Reiki needs to be studied independent of the religion of it's founder. It is noteworthy that Mikao Usui also studied Christianity and he had equal respect towards all the religions including Christianity.



According to him Reiki is not a religious practice. Reiki is simply a healing method helpful for all human being. Reiki breaks the barrier to the flow of life energy or the vital energy in the human body.

These barriers are developed by the negative energies coming from the negative thoughts, emotions and actions. This negative energy affects every individual. It does not many which religion a person belongs.

In Reiki a universal energy is working to heal all the negative energies causing harm to any person. This energy is not related to a particular religion.

You can find the examples of using the universal healing energy in all the religions like Hinduism, Christianity, and Buddhism etc. This universal healing energy comes from the universe not from the healer’s hand. It comes from the universe and flows into the receiver's body through the healer’s hand.

How to Activate Reiki Symbols

4 Ways to Activate the Reiki Symbols

Dear Spiritual Seekers, Sometime back we discussed about the Reiki symbols and their uses, today lets look at ways to activate Reiki symbols for any purpose you have in mind.

Once you are attuned to Reiki second or third degree you can activate Reiki symbols that is appropriate for the purpose you have in mind in various ways. If you are not attuned to Reiki then you can contact me or any other Reiki teacher to learn Reiki properly and be attuned to it.

However before you activate the Reiki symbols you must activate the Reiki energy as taught to you by your Reiki Master during the first degree attunement. Here are the 3 basic ways:

1. You can activate Reiki symbols while doing hands on healing by drawing the symbols with your fingers on yourself or others. Allow a few seconds for the effect to take place and notice the effect.
2. While doing distance healing you can draw the symbols in your mind on the image of the person, event, place, situation or goal you have in mind. Again allow few moments for the effect to take place and acknowledge it to end your session.
3. While visualizing or drawing the symbols with your finger you repeat the name of the symbol. For people who are not so visual or how choose not to visualize, just repeating the names 3 times also activates the symbols. 

Many Reiki practitioners use the finger to draw the symbols while doing hands on healing as well as while visualizing. There is no 'right' way of doing it. If you can draw the symbol and receive the effect, the job is done.

• As the matter of fact as you continue to practice Reiki, just the intention to use a particular symbol activates the symbol and Reiki energy start working on the purpose of that session. 
• We don't recommend that you just intend for the symbols if you are a beginner. 
• You will eventually come to the stage when just the intention will do the magic but let it happen naturally as you mature on this path.

The Reiki symbols are sacred. They represent the phenomenon of Reiki Energy activation and movement to accomplish a particular intention. So let's understand what are the Reiki symbols and their uses. 

Reiki symbols for level 2 and 3 are revealed to students just before attunement. The Reiki symbols and the meaning of each symbol as well as how they work, is discussed in detail during the Reiki Level 2 and 3 Course. 

The students practice each of the symbols till they can draw it in their imagination, easily and effortlessly. What gives power to the ability of the student to use the symbols is the attunement process. 

During the attunement process the student receives the symbols and after this each time the student uses the symbols the Reiki Energy is activated. The Reiki energy moves in the direction of the goal in the mind of the practitioner.

Reiki symbols are kept confidential and they remain a mystery till a person is attuned to the symbols. 

The Reiki Symbols in Reiki Level 2 and 3

There are 3 Reiki Symbols for Reiki level 2:

• The First symbol is Cho Ku Rei. This symbol is used to give power to something - a person, place, object, thought, intention, outcome, goal, event, time, image, etc.
• The Second symbol is Sei Hei Ki. This symbol is used to being balance where ever it is needed. You can balance the emotions, thoughts, chakras of a person. You can balance in the relationships between 2 or more persons, organizations, nations, etc. 
• The Third symbol is Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen. This symbol is used for healing past, distance healing and achieving future goals. 

There are 2 symbols in Reiki level 3A.

• The first symbol is Dai Ko Myo. This symbol is used for healing at the spiritual level. 
• The second symbol is Raku. This symbol is used only during attunement.
